Today, I taught the young people about "Incarnation". I told them that three great Mysteries are celebrated each year @ three great Feasts. The Mystery of the Incarnation is celebrated @ Christmas. The Mystery of Redemption is @ Pentecost.
For each of the 3 great Mysteries, I asked the young people to learn the answers of 6 basic questions: What? Why? How? Who? When? Where?
|The Son of God became Man|
|Why?||To Save Us (the name "Jesus" means "God saves")|
|How?||By the power of the Holy Spirit,|
born of the Virgin Mary
|Who?||Jesus (1 Person,|
2 Natures: God & Man)
|When?||Annunciation Day (Feast: March 25) & Christmas Day (Feast: December 25)|
|Where?||Nazareth & Bethlehem|
I also taught them some essential teachings of Christ. Jesus taught us what to believe, how to behave, and how to pray. We should believe that God is Trinity, Jesus is God, and the Church brings us to Heaven. For behaving: we should love & carry our cross. For praying: Jesus gave us the "Our Father" as the model & pattern of all prayers. He also taught us to persist in prayer. Jesus also instituted Seven Sacraments as means of grace.
