This Easter is very special for me. I am very blessed to do 40 Baptisms last night and today.
Last night during Easter Vigil at Patrick’s, I baptized 7 people from my Chinese RCIA class.
Six of them also received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
During Easter Vigil, my pastor (Fr. Vincent) also administered Confirmation to 10 people. Including members of the English RCIA and my 4 high school Catechism class students.
I was baptized 33 years ago on Easter Sunday. I am very happy to do another 33 Baptisms today.
When I was baptized 33 years ago, there were 2 of us getting baptized (myself & my cousin): a baby boy and a baby girl. This afternoon, I baptized a baby boy and a baby girl.
Today I am a priest and my cousin is a nun. We never know, by the Grace of God, what will happen to these little ones!
This late afternoon, I baptized 31 people during the Chinese Mass at Corpus Christi (15 Adults & 16 Children).
It was very difficult to baptize that many children. A good number of them were afraid of water being poured on them!!!
But now, by the Grace of God, they are all Children of God!
The 15 adults who were baptized also received the Sacrament of Confirmation & 1st Holy Communion.
I always record the Baptism I do, so I can pray for the people I baptized every day of my life. Today the number of people I baptized has reached 300 (4 of them are unconditional Baptism though). I offered Mass today for these 300 people, and I will remember them in a very special way during my upcoming Pilgrimage to Italy & France.
