Talk given for my 3 prayer groups on May 24 & May 25, 2009.

 

Angels in general:

  • Their Existence
  1. Testimony of Holy Scripture

  1. Primitive state of angels

The Good Angels

  • Their state of happiness
  • Their number
  • Their Hierarchy
    1. Highest: Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones.
    2. Middle: Dominations, Virtues, and Powers.
    3. Lowest: Principalities, Archangels, and Angels.
  • Angels known: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael
  • The Guardian Angels:
      1. Their existence
      2. Their good offices
        1. protect our body
        2. prevent the devils from harming us
        3. suggest to us pious thoughts
        4. offer our prayer to God & join their prayers to ours
        5. console souls in purgatory & conduct them to heaven

The Bad Angels
