Talk on Chastity

Today is the last day of classes at St. Patrick’s Secondary School. It’s also my last day doing classroom visitations for the high school before summer vacation. Last month and this month, I have been talking about chastity. I brought with me relics of 2 young saints of chastity: St. Aloysius Gonzaga, and St. Maria Goretti. I shared with the young people their life stories, and blessed them with the relics.

P1060578  St. John Bosco helped young people to be pure and chaste by:

1. Keeping them busy doing good (NO day-dreaming!!!).

2. Encouraged them to pray to Mother Mary and to receive the Sacraments well.

3. By keeping a far distance from occasions of sins.

Modesty is the safeguard of chastity.

  • The sins which lead most souls to hell are sins of the flesh! Certain fashions are going to be introduced which will offend Our Lord very much. Those who serve God should not follow these fashions. The Church has no fashions; Our Lord is always the same.---BLESSED JACINTA OF FATIMA.

  • Woe to the woman wanting in modesty!… Women are worse than men on account of the fashions.---BLESSED JACINTA OF FATIMA.

Here is a recording of my talk:
