Chinese prayer meeting in the evening of Assumption Day with the blessing of herbs.

Meanings of blessing of herbs on Assumption Day:

1. Fragrant of herbs reminds us the virtues of Our Lady.

2. Legend: when the Apostles opened Mary’s tomb the third day after her burial, so show it to Thomas, they did not find her body anymore, but in tis place there were fragrant roses and radiantly white lilies.

3. “These healing herbs are blessed in memory of the glorious triumph over the world, the flesh and the Devil, which the blessed Virgin Mary celebrated in her Assumption.”---the ritual of Constance.
