Visited Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp on September 1. Participated @ Living Rosary & heard Confessions.

On this memorial of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, a saint who used modern means to spread the Gospel, I am glad to announce the launching of our new Precious Blood Parish website:

The summer break allowed me to spend time to organize and to build this site with the help of a professional. Developing a site was a good experience for me as Pastor of Precious Blood. It allowed me to have an overview of all areas of the parish, and to put my mind into them.

On August 5, Feast of Our Lady of the Snow, I led members of my English prayer groups (around 40 people) on a day trip from Cloverdale to Mission.

We began with the 9 am Mass @ Precious Blood, followed by the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary at the Rosary Garden in the parish.

We then drove to Heritage Park in Mission for lunch.

We prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary outside the Grotto of Our Lady and a Litany at the Oblates cemetery.

Summer time @ Precious Blood is much more quiet. There was Vacation Bible School on the week of July 15.

July 5 marks my 1st anniversary as Pastor of Precious Blood Parish. I am very grateful for a very happy year. Precious Blood is a wonderful community.

On the weekend of July 6-7, we had an unusual celebration. On July 2, we paid the final payment of the parish debt. The parish is now debt free. At the end of the Masses, I had the joy to share the good news with the parishioners. A member of the Finance Committee brought cakes to share with parishioners to celebrate being debt free.

Since last year, someone used my name and photos to set up a FAKE account on Facebook. Recently the holder of that account aggressively sending out false messages asking for money. Fortunately, many people can tell immediately that it was not me. But I post the information here to warn others to watch out for the imposter.

This is my first Pentecost Sunday @ Precious Blood Parish.

I have been hosting prayer meetings in Vancouver in my spare time for more than 19 years. One of the participants of the Adult Catechism Class (RCIA) at my parish suggested me to start a prayer group in Surrey. We finally decided to meet twice a month on a Saturday evening (for the parish is usually very quiet on the 1st & 3rd Saturday evenings). This evening, we had our first gathering. Today (May18) is the birthday of Blessed John Paul II and the Vigil of Pentecost.
