One Year @ Precious Blood
July 5 marks my 1st anniversary as Pastor of Precious Blood Parish. I am very grateful for a very happy year. Precious Blood is a wonderful community.
On the weekend of July 6-7, we had an unusual celebration. On July 2, we paid the final payment of the parish debt. The parish is now debt free. At the end of the Masses, I had the joy to share the good news with the parishioners. A member of the Finance Committee brought cakes to share with parishioners to celebrate being debt free.
Each year the five of us who were ordained for the Archdiocese of Vancouver in 2006 get together to celebrate Mass and eat dinner. On July 8, we celebrated together. This year I was the main celebrant.
On July 1, I organized members of my Chinese prayer groups for a Day of Pilgrimage & Prayer.
